Misprinted and misaligned scrap sheets of plastic labels for soda bottles, candy wrappers and the like are rescued from waste and repurposed as the raw material for these rich-hued woven containers.  The task of creating this plastic “twine” is given to women in India who work from home to earn a living while caring for their children and families.  This environmentally and economically friendly process is functional and one-of-a-kind works of art.  Vases are fitted with glass inserts for containing water.  A fresh way to look at flowers!
